Dear Tham,

I just want to say that you and your staff are first class. The Sandakan Death March was great to relieve the history and the sacrifice of these men. It was really brought home to us at Labuan Island at the war cemetery with the thousands of graves laid out before us. A sobering moment indeed. The guides were fantastic and their knowledge of bush craft faultless. At one point we went about 1km yet we stopped about 40 times to show us bush medicines and survival skills. It was like being in a supermarket the foods & wares were so plentiful. I also want to thank you personally for the way you changed the itinerary to suit or needs. I’ve never met a tour guide so accommodating.

Good Luck to you & your Wonderful Crew

Dear Tham,

I would like to thank you and your awesome team for looking after me on the Sandakan Death March Tour. I have never been more well looked after than by your team.I must confess that my knowledge of this event was somewhat limited before I started. Your inspirtional stories and facts brought home this awful tradegy in our nations history and gave me a sense of pride for our country. Meeting some of the living legends associated with this event was a big highlight.  It opened my eyes to a piece of our nations history that had til now been somewhat forgotten.I am now motivated to tell others back home about this tragic event and the wonderful support that you and your team provide on this tour.Again, my warm felt congratulations on your organisation of this tour and the woderful way you looked after us throughout the tour. I wish you all the best for the future,

regards

Dear Tham,

My experience with Tham and his team on the Sandakan death march, was nothing short of inspiritational. My first reason for travelling Sandakan to complete the Sandakan death march, was a fitness challenge and to hopefully learn more about the significance this march has to Australia.

I knew on day 1 that this was a journey to learn the absolute devistation brought on by cruelty of war, death of thousands brought on only by tortuous conditions and inhumane treatment of one soul to another. Learning this and knowing that only a small percentage of Australians know this part of Australia’s war history, definatly inspires me to tell the story to hundreds more people.

Tham & his team, provided incredible hospitalilty for us. With prompt transport each day, ensuring we had enough water and food to complete each day strong, providing local knowledge, jungle survival, good company and definatly a few laughs along the way. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience on the Sandakan death march and will hold onto these memories forever and recommed if you know have researched this far in considering the march ‘do it’ and even you know nothing about Sandakan just ‘do it!’

Thank you Tham I know this project of providing this march to people, has your heart and soul. Your doing a great thing for the lives lost in Sandakan.

I look forward to watch the progress of your plans as I know there is more to come.

Kind regards,
Lauren
